Cibus suggested looking for an exhaust leak - the starting fluid spray is a check for an intake or vacuum leak. Has run great until a few days ago. At a cold start up I can drive it around my neighborhood for 1 mile and it acts fine. Then after a brief warm up it will barely stay running. It has no catalytic converter; therefore it runs cooler than usual but this is not the reason for its current problem since it ran fine for years this way.
