Webrs3 introduced short cut hidey-holes for mith grapple shortcuts along with their clue stashes, and in my opinion it would be a great addition to old school. they required 4 of a given plank, as well as a crossbow and a mith grapple, where the plank and crossbow tier were decided by the agility level needed to use the short cut.
